Ryan Wagner (right) and I conversing with our Governors during a 1 minute 'old man shuffle' interval late during the 2013 Sheyenne National Grasslands Ultra (END-SURE). We raced together through up to 18 inches of snow earning a tie for third place--finishing in a little over 8 hours (20 minutes behind the two leaders). I was training 2 hours a week at the time.
